Linda Cusumano plays Keyboard for the Blue Bayou Band
Linda Cusumano began playing the organ at the age of nine and by sixteen, was playing piano and singing with a progressive rock band. This rock band eventually evolved into a jazz quintet. During her teen years, Linda studied piano in Manhattan with jazz great, Hal Galper.
At the age of nineteen, Linda and her group, “Round Midnight” opened for drummer Buddy Rich at “My Father’s Place” in Roslyn, N.Y. and often jammed with jazz drummer and bandleader, Roy Haynes at the “Hobbit Hole” in Selden, N.Y. To make ends meet, they began playing at local parties and weddings. They eventually became the house band at “Gurney’s Inn” in Montauk, Long Island.
Linda has written and recorded several original cds and is the overseer of music at a local church. She teaches piano and continues to work with local musicians. Linda resides in the Village of Patchogue with her husband Vinny and daughter Stephanie.
